Kentucky Lands First Recruit in Class of 2018

Immanuel Quickley has announced his commitment to the University of Kentucky.  He is a consensus top 10 recruit and is considered one of the best point guards in the class.  Quickley is 6’3 and has long been John Calipari’s top point guard target.  He played for Cal with team USA in Egypt this past summer which only helped solidify his bond with his future college coach.  He is the first piece of what will once again be another highly ranked recruiting class for Kentucky.  As usual the Cats will have multiple holes to fill after this season and Quickley is a great start.  He is also close friends with Zion Williamson who is a top 2 player in the class.  They have often talked about teaming up together in college and both players have been recruited heavily by Kentucky.  It certainly won’t be a surprise if Williamson who visits Lexington this weekend, ultimately becomes a Wildcat as well.  For now fans can enjoy some highlights of the Cats next great point guard.
